Incident Report for Catamaran Accident
Details of the Incident
The accident occurred on 27th March, 2024 at 5:50 pm in Sydney Harbour as the catamaran crashed into the rocks in the harbour. The accident is caused by a sudden change of weather conditions. At the time of accident, Captain Moby and his team were traning new crew members and scouting the whale migration routes, so no passengers were on board. Also, all crew members including the captain were not injuried.
Investigation Findings
After conducting an investigation, the review board concluded that Captain Moby was not at fault, and he was extremely professional because he had been instrumental in minimising damage to the catamaran and taking the necessary actions to keep the crew onboard safe.
