2025 Paper Part A: Information Leaflet

Our background

Founded by a small group of art enthusiasts, artists, and volunteer art tutors, the 852 Teen Art Club was created with one simple goal: to give teenagers in Hong Kong a space to express themselves through art. We believe that art is not only about drawing or painting well, but it is also about sharing ideas, exploring emotions and building confidence. Over the years, our club has welcomed students with different interests, from sketching and digital drawing to photography, calligraphy and mixed-media art. No matter your level of experience, you will find a friendly community here. Through regular workshops, exhibitions and group classes, we encourage members to learn from one another and discover their own creative style.

A club member's most memorable experience

But don’t just take our words for it, and let’s read about the sharing of what one of our members, Jason. For Jason, he said that his most unforgettable experience was taking part in our community mural project to showcase the Hong Kong spirit last summer. At first, he was nervous because he had never painted on such a large wall before. However, with the support of other members, he gradually became more confident. Together, the team designed a colourful mural featuring the Lion Rock, Star Ferries and many special Hong Kong icons. Jason shared that the best part was not only finishing the artwork, but also seeing local residents stop to admire it and take photos. What’s more is that, the mural attracted the attention of the press, and he was interviewed by a reporter of a local newspaper as well. He felt proud that his art could bring joy to others, brighten up the neighbourhood and help spread the Hong Kong spirit. This experience helped him realise that art can connect people and make a positive influence in the community.

Our future activities

Looking ahead, the 852 Teen Art Club has many exciting plans in the pipeline. We will roll out weekend workshops on watercolor painting, comic character illustration and basic animation. We are also planning to invite local artists to give talks and share their experiences in the creative industry.

In addition, we are going to hold an inter-school art exchange programme with the theme of AI-generated art so that more teenagers can meet, cooperate and create art together using the cutting-edge AI technology. Another highlight will be our annual youth art exhibition, where members can proudly present their work to the public. We look forward to seeing you in one of these upcoming activities.
